Since y'all previously had Windows x installed and activated on that PC during the installation process skip the steps which ask for a product key and select the option 'I am Reinstalling Windows 10 on this PC', and activation will not be an effect, your PC will take a digital entitlement stored on the Microsoft Activation Servers
Brand sure you install the same Edition of Windows ten (Home, Pro . . . etc.) yous previously had installed to avoid Activation issues

Thanks so much for your prompt and "right-on" reply. Went to the web site, and information technology looks pretty easy, but I'll accept to wait for my new HD to arrive before I tin endeavor it out. The windows 10 creation download is only good for 24hrs from the download. Again, I appreciate you help.

Stephano, Thank you for your assistance, and all the others who offered help also. Simply, I have to wait until my Hd arrives via mail to do the Win10 reinstall. I cannot outset the software process until I get the HD because the download is merely good for 24 hrs after download. And I have a Mac that I can use while waiting, and there is the fact that I am retired and movement at a retiree footstep. And so, I'll let you know what happens but it probably won't be shortly.
